Phil JamesContact: +255 748-871-364 Philip James joined Clean Air Action Corporation in 2004 as Program Associate to work on The International Small Group and Tree Planting (TIST) program (http://www.tist.org). His work includes supporting the Tanzanian team to help faciliate environment and development training workshops in rural Tanzania, helping pioneer the program in Kenya and acting as a communication bridge between the African and American CAAC offices. Prior to joining CAAC, Mr James spent one year volunteering with the American Refugee Committee International in Southern Sudan and Uganda, helping to coordinate environmental programs amongst war-displaced people. He has conducted research in rural Uganda on the dynamics of AIDS stigma and discrimation and been involved in community projects in Uganda and Nepal. Mr James holds a BA (Honours) in Geography from Corpus Christi College, the University of Cambridge. |
