Fiona Mackay joined Clean Air Action Corporation in 2004 as European Coordinator to work on The International Small Group and Tree Planting (TIST) program (www.tist.org). She liaises with EU government offices and performs marketing with EU companies and brokers who require TIST GhG tons to offset greenhouse gas emissions, or meet commitments. She also provides research and analysis for the TIST program's sustainable development component, with an emphasis on the social and local environmental impacts of TIST.

Prior to joining CAAC, Miss Mackay conducted research in India, evaluating the effectiveness of medicinal plant related benefit-sharing agreements between indigenous communities and pharmaceutical institutions. She has also worked within development projects in Brazil and Nepal.

Miss Mackay holds a BA (Honours) in Geography from Fitzwilliam College, the University of Cambridge.
